Services for Seniors

The Lethbridge Public Library is dedicated to providing materials and services to all people. To help seniors enjoy our materials we offer Accessible Library Materials and Homebound Delivery.

Homebound Delivery

Through Homebound Service, Lethbridge Public Library can provide lending services to those in Lethbridge that may not be able to physically visit our branches.

Who's Eligible: Anyone who for reasons of ill health, disability, or convalescence is unable to come to the Library or are otherwise confined to their homes.

How Does it Work: A homebound patron can designate a friend or family member to pick up and deliver materials to their home. If available, the Library will designate a trusted community volunteer to deliver the materials.

What is available: Books, audiobooks, music, and dvds.

Accessible Library Materials

To assist with print disabilities, Lethbridge Public Library has partnered with the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) and the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS), which provide books, magazines, and newspapers in a variety of formats.

What is available:

  • Largeprint Books
  • Books on CD
  • e-Books or e-Audiobooks
  • Daisy Discs or Talking Audiobooks
  • Daisy Player (VitorReader Stratus 4M)
