Public Spaces

Need a quiet space to work on a project? Or perhaps you just want somewhere to relax or visit a friend. The Lethbridge Public Library has a variety of spaces suited for all kinds of work and liesure.


Reading and Study Spaces


Study

Both of our branches have tables throughout the building for group or individual study or work. In the Lower North wing of our Main Branch we have study carrels quietly nestled behind the shelves for private study. 


Childrens Spaces

Main Branch: Our Main Branch has a number of spaces designed just for kids. Visit the Kids Corner in our Lower South wing which offers an open play space as well as tables and chairs for children to colour, read or write at. For the adults we have comforatable seating for you while your children play. 

Crossings Branch: Our Crossings Branch has a dedicated Childrens space with child friendly furniture and a play area for kids to explore. 

Childrens Computers: Both branches also offer childrens computers and Early Learning stations. 


Entertainment

Board Games: Did you know that we host a collection of boardgames for you to play? Come to the Crossings Branch and sit down with some friends beside our fireplace and have some fun!

Video Games: Our Crossings Branch has a gaming area with Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and XBox One consoles that you can play using any of the games in our collection!


Art Gallery

We host a rotating exhibits, showcasing the art of amazing local talent. Visit the Lower North wing of our library directly outside of our Theatre Gallery to see what's currently showing.

Quiet Spaces

Summer Patio: Off the North Wing of our Main Branch we have a shaded summer Patio with chairs and a bench so you can peacefully work or relax, while enjoying the fresh air.


Millenium Gardens: Between the North and South Wings of our Main Branch is a peaceful garden that can be used during the warm seasons to mediate or relax.
